How Do We Lovingly Confront A Believer About Using Tarot Cards?
Q: Recently, I’ve seen my mom watch tarot card readings on TikTok, and she uses some of those false teachings in her life. How can I approach her to not engage in that and explain to go back to the Bible?
A: I’m no expert on the background of tarot cards. So, I’m not the person who can explain how and why they’re demonic, I just know they are. Maybe you need to do a little bit of research and get into the how and why they’re demonic and of the occult.
It’s entirely fair for you to just sit down in love and say, “Mom, I’m concerned. I think there’s a real spiritual danger in what you’re going after.” Be aware that things can be spiritually real and yet of the darkness. Sometimes people are so amazed and astounded to discover the reality of the spiritual realm that they don’t stop to ask, “Is this of the devil?” Listen, the devil is real and his powers of darkness are real. Don’t let yourself be so amazed at the reality of something that you don’t allow yourself to ask the very important, legitimate question: Does this come from the power of darkness or from the power of light?
