What Is Your Stance On Soteriology?

Q: What is your stance on soteriology?

A: I'm for the doctrine of salvation and the teaching of salvation. What you're probably asking about is whether I am Calvinistic or Reformed in my doctrine, or if I tend to be more non-Calvinistic, which some people would call Arminian. I don't technically consider myself Arminian, but neither do I consider myself Calvinist. I have some difficulties with certain aspects of Reformed theology.

I just believe in letting my soteriology be biblical. I know Calvinists and Arminians would agree with that as well, but we have a little bit of a difference in how things should be prioritized. I'm not a five-point Calvinist, and I do not believe in the core Calvinistic doctrine that regeneration comes before faith. In other words, I don't believe you are born again before you believe or saved before you believe. I think that addresses your question, and it's something worth doing a deep dive on.
