Can Faith and Science Be Balanced?

I come from a background of faith (which I strongly stand on) and a rejection of science. Sometimes I struggle wondering if my passion in the field of science could be wrong. How can one balance faith and science?

I don’t have any problem balancing faith and science. I often think about this verse: Proverbs 25:2 – It is the glory of God to conceal a matter, But the glory of kings is to search out a matter.

Here’s how I understand it. I am happy that there are scientists who are seeking out the secrets of the universe and the world which God created. That’s a good thing. But what I would wish to see from the realm of science is more humility.

Obviously, there are humble scientists. There are scientists who understand exactly what I’m going to tell you right now, and they don’t have to be reminded of it. Scientists need to remain in the place of humility, remembering how much that they don’t know and how much they can never know. It’s easy to get so caught up in what you have discovered that you forget how much you don’t know yet. I would like to see scientists embrace that humility.
